Privacy Statement
E. Zobel Foundation, Inc. or EZF updated its Privacy Policy for its website users’ protection in keeping their personal information safe.

This policy contains information about EZF’s responsibilities, your rights, and the information that may be collected by EZF and how it might be used.

Definition of Terms
Personal information, as defined by Data Privacy Act, refers to any information whether recorded in a material form or not, from which the identity of an individual is apparent or can be reasonably and directly ascertained by the entity holding the information, or when put together with other information would directly and certainly identify an individual.

Sensitive personal information refers to personal information:

  1. About an individual’s race, ethnic origin, marital status, age, color, and religious, philosophical or political affiliations;
  2. About an individual’s health, education, genetic or sexual life of a person, or to any proceeding for any offense committed or alleged to have been committed by such person, the disposal of such proceedings, or the sentence of any court in such proceedings;
  3. Issued by government agencies peculiar to an individual which includes, but not limited to, social security numbers, previous or current health records, licenses or its denials, suspension or revocation, and tax returns; and
  4. Specifically established by an executive order or an act of Congress to be kept classified.

EZF website captures digital information of its visitors.

Information We Collect
The type of information collected and retained by the E. Zobel Foundation, Inc. (EZF) includes personal information about:

  • Donors
  • Staff
  • Volunteers
  • Partners
  • Any individuals who visit the EZF website

Personal information collected by EZF includes (without limitation):

  • Names and addresses
  • Bank account details or credit card information (for donations and/or bank direct debits)
  • Date of birth
  • Telephone numbers
  • Email addresses

How We Collect Information
When browsing the website in general, we use cookies and other tracking technology which may collect certain kinds of information. Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to the computer you use and may be placed on its hard disk for record-keeping purposes. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the website. “First party” cookies set by the EZF website can only be read by that site. EZF also places “Third-party” cookies from Google Analytics.

These cookies enable us to collect technical information that may include:

  • Pages response time
  • Time zone setting/general location

Our website also makes use of technologies that collect additional information on top of what was previously mentioned. Information such as IP (Internet Protocol) addresses and System Log files are collected and maintained.

An IP address is a number that identifies your computer every time you log on to the Internet. The IP address information does not identify you personally, but rather identifies the computer you are using and the length of time spent on each page and may even identify your general location.

The EZF computers that serve our site keep a minimum set of system logs that allow us to tune and protect the service and to determine general usage patterns. We do not keep the information any longer than necessary to meet these objectives.

EZF’s Use of Personal information
EZF collects, holds, uses, and discloses your personal information for purposes including:

  • verification of your identity;
  • track number of visitors;
  • processing donations and provide receipts;
  • managing our relationship with you;
  • communicating with you about how your donation is used or to provide you with information about events, causes, programs, products or services we believe may interest you; and
  • responding to your feedback, questions, or complaints.

EZF does not otherwise disclose personal information without your permission unless the disclosure is:

  • in accordance with this Privacy Policy or any agreement you may enter into with us; or
  • required or authorized by law in the Philippines, including without limitation, international law as well.

EZF will store personal information on data servers that are owned and controlled by EZF.

Security of Collected Personal Information
To ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data that is collected, organizational, administrative, and technical processes and procedures are put in place to safeguard the data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
