COMPLEMENTARY MILK FEEDING PROGRAM

On January 4 and 8, 2024, a soft launching of the Complementary Milk Feeding Program in partnership with the E. Zobel Foundation, Kabisig ng Kalahi, Rotary Club of Makati, Department of Education, and OKADA Manila, was held in Balibago Elementary School, Brgy. Balibago, Calatagan, Batangas and Angelita Zobel Elementary School, Brgy. Lucsuhin, Calatagan, Batangas respectively, for 134 school children beneficiaries from Balibago Elementary School and 62 school children beneficiaries of Angelita Zobel Elementary School. This 120-day milk feeding program is designed to promote a conducive learning environment and improve students' academic performance by addressing the underlying issues of poor health, malnutrition, and hunger. The program aims to empower students by providing them with the proper nutrition they need to better concentrate on their studies, helping them unlock their full potential. The program's implementation is a testament to the institutions' shared vision of promoting equal access to education and cultivating a generation of competent and productive members of society. We are committed to ensuring that this program will continue to positively impact the lives of these students, creating a brighter future for them and our communities.

The private sector's active participation in a program benefiting our future generation is inspiring. This program has created a venue for different sectors of society to work together towards a common goal of solving poverty. The milk feeding program aims to contribute to the improvement of schoolchildren's nutritional status, nourish their growth and development, boost their immune system, and enhance their health and nutrition values. It is a positive step towards nation-building, and we hope it continues to make a significant impact on the lives of these children. With the support coming from the Barangay Nutrition Scholars and Municipal Health Office, there is a high hope for a better tomorrow.
